Breathe in the fresh air while helping us maintain accessibility at Slater Woods!

Volunteers needed! Join us in widening the main trail where needed and clearing away downed trees. There might also be a chance to install one or two new benches along the path. Feel free to bring your favorite clippers or loppers. You can stay for as long as you wish or participate for just part of the morning. We value any support— even if you simply want to keep us company!

• Meeting Point: Slater Woods trailhead. Off street parking at Kiosk or along Piasta Road
• What to Bring: Comfortable hiking boots/shoes, water, light-colored clothing, and tick protection (like permethrin). Tools like clippers or loppers and gloves.
• Post-Hike: Remember to check for ticks. Send us your favorite photos to post on our new website!
