Dudley Conservation Land Trust (DCLT) Privacy Policy

Your Privacy Matters to Us

At the Dudley Conservation Land Trust, we are committed to protecting your personal information. As an all-volunteer organization, we collect your name, email, mailing address, and transaction details solely to process your donation or your business sponsorship. For members, we use this information to process your membership, deliver your newsletter, and provide updates on our sanctuary and related projects.

Secure, Passwordless Access

To make your experience hassle-free, we do not create standard user accounts or store passwords on our website. Instead, we use your email address to securely verify your identity. When you need to update a credit card or view a past tax receipt, our system sends a temporary, secure “Email Access” link directly to your inbox.

Data Security & Zero Sharing

Your payment information is processed securely through encrypted, PCI-compliant financial gateways (like Stripe or PayPal); DCLT volunteers never see or store your full credit card digits. We will never sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with any third-party marketing companies.

Dudley Conservation Land Trust (DCLT) Terms

1. All-Volunteer Organization & Stewardship Disclosure

Dudley Conservation Land Trust, Inc. is a small, 100% volunteer-led, community-backed organization. By submitting your donation, you acknowledge that 100% of your financial contributions are allocated toward supporting the essential costs of land acquisition, properties stewardship, sanctuary management, trail maintenance, and ongoing operating expenses necessary to conserve the scenic and natural beauty of the Dudley area and surrounding communities.

2. 501(c)(3) Status & Tax-Deductibility Disclaimer

DCLT is an officially recognized public charity under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) (EIN: 20-2201367). Donations are fully tax-deductible to the maximum extent allowed by law. Because all benefits associated with DCLT donations, business sponsorships, and memberships constitute intangible benefits, no physical goods or services are provided or deducted from the value of your contribution.

3. No Professional Legal or Tax Advice

The financial summaries, automated email receipts, generated PDF tax statements, and website resource documentation provided by DCLT are distributed strictly for general organizational tracking and informational purposes. The Dudley Conservation Land Trust does not provide official legal, accounting, financial, or tax-deductible advisory services. All contributors are strongly encouraged to consult a certified public accountant (CPA), qualified tax professional, or attorney to evaluate personal financial implications or verify deduction rules under current IRS guidelines.

4. Automatic Annual Renewal Terms (For Recurring Donations and Recurring Membership Tiers)

If you select a recurring donation/membership tier, your explicit authorization permits our digital merchant systems to securely archive your payment credentials and automatically process your recurring donation exactly one (1) month from your initial sign-up date for donations and exactly twelve (12) months from your initial sign-up date for memberships, at the uniform fixed-tier rate selected at checkout.

  • Billing Adjustments & Non-Account Management: You may review, alter, or opt out of your auto-renewal sequence at any time without a website account. You can request a passwordless, temporary security entry token using our Email Access system directly on our Donor Dashboard.
  • Failed Payments & Expiration: In the event that a renewal charge fails to process successfully, DCLT reserves the right to temporarily freeze member perks or adjust voting status until valid billing details are updated.
