The Dudley Conservation Land Trust is excited to announce that a Purchase and Sales Agreement has been signed to acquire 56 acres of land in the Dudley for $170,000. The land is immediately west of the DCLT’s Hiland Park parcel, and will increase the DCLT’s and Mass Audubon holdings in the Slater Woods area to over 350 acres. The land has incredible conservation value; is considered Massachusetts BioMap Core Habitat; and perhaps most importantly, offers an additional 1,900 feet of frontage on Peter Pond. Adding in our existing Hiland Park parcel, the DCLT will be conserving about one-third of the shoreline of this beautiful, mostly undeveloped pond!
If you would like to make a donation to assist in the acquisition and stewardship of this land, please forward your check payable to The Dudley Conservation Land Trust, PO Box 14 Dudley, Massachusetts. Thank you!.
As a small, all-volunteer land trust, we rely on all of our members to help support the costs of land acquisition, stewardship and our ongoing operating expenses. Become a member of the Dudley Conservation Land Trust, so we can continue to conserve and steward the scenic and natural beauty of the Dudley area.
