Keekamoochaug Wildlife Sanctuary

Keekamoochaug Wildlife Sanctuary is a quiet 6.58-acre woodland off Healy Road, donated by Flora Beth and Prescott Grout. A moderately challenging 1/5-mile trail winds through a diverse mix of native trees, crosses intermittent streams, and connects to the Tufts Branch Sanctuary boardwalk, with benches and a winter view toward Dudley Hill along the way. Visitors should be aware that dogs must be on a leash at all times.

Trails
- Trail begins at “Keekamoochaug Wildlife Sanctuary” sign near 9 Healy Road and follows a moderately challenging terrain for 1/5 mile, eventually joining the Tufts Branch Sanctuary on the boardwalk or continuing back to starting point.
Special Features
- A diversity of trees including oak, shag bark hickory, black cherry, ash, maple and hickory.
- Scenic view from the top of the hill towards Dudley Hill in winter.
- Grout dedication plaque.
- Several intermittent streams, and two benches along the trail for rest and nature observation.
