DESCRIPTION:Help us clean up the Antos Farm for our October celebration of its 100th year! Work could include boundary sign installation\, trail creation/maintenance\, forest clean-up (trash)\, invasive removal\, and even some help planning out the October celebration if you’d rather not get your hands dirty this time. All are welcome! Rain date August 9. \n\n\nVolunteers needed! You can stay for as long as you wish or participate for just part of the morning. We value any support— even if you simply want to keep us company! \n\n\nMeeting Point: Antos Farm. Park along Marsh Road or in the turnaround just past the property on the right\, just before entering the town of Oxford.\nWhat to Bring: Water\, gloves\, light-colored clothing\, and tick protection (like permethrin). Tools like clippers or loppers and a chainsaw.\nPost-Cleanup: Remember to check for ticks. DESCRIPTION:DCLT sponsors a speaker series on an annual basis. This year\, we will host a mushroom foraging expedition led by Jonathan Kranz. This walk and talk covers the basics of mushroom habits\, identification\, and ecology. It will also help prepare participants for safe\, exciting forages of their own. Jonathan is an expert mycologist\, Mass Audubon Certified Field Naturalist\, and vice president of North America’s oldest mushroom organization\, the Boston Mycological Club.
